Do I look like an actor to you?

So I was checking in to my hotel last Wed. night in Baltimore. I thought something seemed off... but I couldn't quite put my finger on it. I noticed a couple of Hummer army-looking vehicles parked nearby in a street that was roped off.

As I'm walking in to the hotel to check in, I see about thirty guys marching towards me and into the hotel. They are all dressed in SWAT team gear, complete with automatic weapons and ammo vests with grenades, etc.

You can imagine that this had me a bit alarmed. I wasn't sure whether or not to go into the hotel but no one else seemed alarmed. So in I went and proceeded right to the check in counter to ask what the heck was going on.

Turns out that Nicole Kidman is filming her newest movie right outside the hotel and the "SWAT team" were just a bunch of actors. It was very cold outside and the hotel had coffee and snacks for all of the extras in a conference room.

I caught up with the big group of SWAT guys and I asked one of them, "How's the movie going?" as we waited for the elevator.

He turned to me, with a bit of a disgusted look on his face, and said, "Do I look like an actor to you?"

I paused, and as the elevator showed up and I got in, I turned and looked at him and said "Oh, I get it -- You're in character!!"

The guy just rolled his eyes as the elevator doors closed.
