We made it!
We are officially in Richmond.
We're staying in an extended stay suite which is basically a glorified hotel room with a tiny kitcheonette. Home sweet suite. Ha.
We were SO worried about Moxie and Mara and how they would do together during the transition. It's a tiny space for them to be sharing, especially considering that dogs and cats don't often do well together.
As I sit right now, Moxie is laying on the windowsill, belly up and Mara is asleep at my feet. So far, so good.
Keep your fingers crossed that we'll find a home soon. And that we'll sell ours even sooner! Our house hits the market today. I think I'm supposed to bury a statue of one of the saints upside down in my backyard or something in order to sell the house faster. Whatever--I'm not one for superstition. But i do believe that the universe is going to bring us the right buyers at the right time.
B and I have already decided that if the buyers are a young unmarried couple (like we were when we bought the house), that we will pay their closing costs (like the former owners did for us). It's a karma thing and I feel good about it. :)
Anyhoo, today I'm back to work. Not a whole lot of fun - but I haven't done a whole lot of work either. Hoping to hear more about the part time opportunity this week or next.
I'm submitting my application to the American Institute of Massage Therapies today. Woo hoo! If I get in, classes start September 7. Fingers crossed!!
