Gratitude
I'm so grateful for so many things. Time for another gratitude list!
I'm grateful for:
- the farmer's market about 1/2 mile from our new house that has incredibly fresh fruits, veggies, plants, you name it. And it's open 9 months of the year!
- the delicious historic restaurant, the Hanover Tavern, where we had dinner last night. We got to dine in the house where George Washington and Thomas Jefferson visited often and Patrick Henry lived for many years. It was beautiful.
- having a person absolutely scream at me (twice) today. Why am I grateful for this? Because I've been that angry with people before and I had forgotten what it felt like to be on the receiving end. I'm also grateful that I was able to keep my mouth shut and treat him with the dignity and respect he deserves. I'm also grateful that I don't have to speak to him again!
- my sponsor, who gently reminds me that I beat myself up worse than anyone else does.
- manicures
- the knowledge that HP is working full time and I don't have to worry when our house will or will not sell.
- having faith that I will not be in this temporary living situation forever.
- deep breaths
- the opportunity to have dinner with my brother-in-law and his family, who have opened their home to us with open arms since we moved.
