VAYKAY!

So I had this friend when I used to work in DC. Her name was Ani (I know--how cool, right??).

Anyway, she used to call vacation "vaykay." It always made me laugh so hard whenever she would say it because she would impersonate a valley girl from back in the day (which she did really well).

"Oh my God! I'm totally, like, going on vaykay!"

Anyway, that comes to mind tonight because I'm leaving for a much needed vacation tomorrow morning. We are picking up our friends from the airport at 6am (ungodly!) and then driving the 9 hours to Hilton Head. woo hoo!!

I'm so excited about vacation. I'm so excited about the chill parts of it - like the drive and the walking on the beach and kayaking and reading. But I'm also excited about the really fun parts of it - having margaritas and playing card games and going out to the bars and playing guitar. It's going to be so much freaking fun, I can't wait!!

It's also gonna be awesome to be incommunicado for a whole week (no emails, no conference calls, no voice mail). I need to be totally unreachable for a week. I am bringing my cell phone, but don't plan to use it much. yay!
