Priceless

I saw this in another recovering person's blog and just thought it was priceless:

An old timer had shared in the meeting about praying for something, and that God had answered her request. Someone asked her, "How do you know it was God who granted your request?" She replied... "I didn't ask anyone else." --unknown

I'm so grateful that I'm feeling umbilically connected to HP again. It's been awhile. But all it took to reconnect was willingness and humility. Sometimes I forget that my knees need to hit the floor at least once a day. More and more, I'm relying on the third and seventh step prayers in the morning. There's something so beautiful in saying/praying "Release me of the bondage of self, that I may better do thy will" and "Grant me strength, as I go out from here, to do your bidding." I try to say the latter to myself when I leave my house or hotel room in the morning. Good stuff!
