Ashland VA
I'm in love with Ashland, Virginia. Everyone is so friendly and all of the little shops have adorable names like the "Cable Car Desserts" and "Ironhorse Cafe." The little town itself looks like Old Town, Alexandria did about 60-75 years ago. It's charming, but still quaint. It's quaint, but not snobby. It's sophisticated, but still small-town country.
Brian is meeting me here in Ashland today to look at some real estate. I called an agent and asked her to show us some things in the area. I gave her our price range (which is WAY low because our goal is to buy a house with the money we made off of our townhouse, so we can live mortgage free). I can't wait!
I have to be able to concentrate this morning, though. I am co-presenting with an executive in our company at 10am. So I have to keep my head on straight for the next couple of hours!
