Vacation!!

This afternoon starts my vacation!! :) Woo hoo!

My brain is already on the beach....I'm on a conference call right now and totally not paying attention. Brian is leaving work around 11 so we can pack up the car and hit the road. yee haw!

I hope Mara does well in the car--it could be a real nightmare of a trip if she freaks out and needs to stop every twenty minutes. Brian and I are hoping that the hum of the motor will lull her into a 10-hour slumber. Don't think that'll happen, though.

Day four was okay. I was surprisingly stressed out--I worked a very long day and stayed over in a hotel, so that might have had something to do with it. Working/traveling with my boss can also be stress-inducing. He works like an animal and is always thinking about what the next thing is, the next project, the next phone call, the next meeting. There's never a moment's rest!

But today is the beginning of a long, long weekend for B and I. And we deserve it. This will be the first time we've taken any days off from work since the Holidays. And we can't WAIT to introduce Mara to the beach (and my family).
