Day One---DONE

Well, I made it twenty-four hours. Every time I've tried to quit previously, I've gone cold turkey. The difference in trying to quit with the patch is amazing. I feel MUCH more calm and centered than I imagined.

I had cravings yesterday, but they were psychological more than physical. My body would remind me when it was time to smoke (lunch time, dinner time, bed time, etc.). When that happened, I would just remind myself that smoking is something I used to do. Hopefully my mind will get retrained quickly.

So day 2 is underway. First non-smoking day at work. Even though yesterday was less difficult than I imagined, I'm hoping today will be even easier since my focus will be on other things. I'm concerned that today will be tougher, because I have to be in the same place for an extended period of time. We'll see...I will definitely report back!

For those of you who have sent emails, called, left notes here, I thank you. I can't tell how much it means to me to have cheerleaders and supporters!

baby. i'm SO proud of you!

the patch is excellent- when i used it, it really did let me understand what part of my addiction was psychological habit, and what part was physical.

read "Psycho-Cybernetics" by Maxwell Maltz. it's important.

kick some ASS!
