If you don't currently own a Gavin DeGraw album, I highly encourage you to RUN (not walk) to get yourself one.
I saw him live for the second time last night and he is FABULOUS. He's like Marvin Gaye meets Bruce Springsteen. The album is good, but it doesn't really do him justice. He's just amazing live....
There are few things in this world that can keep me up past 11 on a work night. And Gavin DeGraw is one of them. Damn.
Side note: I gave my notice to Devil Boss yesterday. No reaction at all. No questions, no "good luck." In fact, the only thing she said was, "So you're not putting in a full two weeks notice?!?" I just smiled and looked at her with a sort of innocent, confused look. Nice Boss and I are going to talk this afternoon when he gets back into the office...

GirlRy!
love, i had SUCH a nice time with you at the macaroni grill last friday (hopefully now you know who i am! grins...) it was REALLY good getting to talk everything through with you and hear what's been going on in your life. i passed the whole bit on to the hubby over the weekend and, surprise, surprise, it all went AWESOME and, guess what?!?!? he still loves me! :) big grins...
and congratluations on the completed knitted-by-you scarf! that's awesome!!!
on another note, i've caught up on all of your blogs to date and had to tell you about an experience i had that was VERY similar to yours with your pop. when i decided to move here from CA a few years ago, i too decided to move without a formal job offer in hand. as a matter of fact, when i gave my notice, i hadn't even started LOOKING for a job. well, i got the full on EVIDENTLY FEAR *IS* A FACTOR FOR YOU (name that show) from my brother AND my parents who were VERY uncomfortable with my approach. note "my" approach, right? anyhoo, bottom line was that i came to the SAME conclusion(s) you did - that fear is how THEY chose to live their lives and make decisions by (sometimes, at least) and that just because i love and respect them doesn't mean that they are universally "right" or that i have to listen to what they recommended. so, i did was *i* thought to be right and, lo and behold, had a job offer in hand before i even left the state of CA (without trying, mind you!) so, the moral of the story is that you are right on, you're doing the right thing, i can relate, family is sometimes hard to listen to (especially when they don't agree with you), and that as you know, the universe will take care of you and all will be well, no matter what!!!
i love you! you rock!
:)
and p.s. so glad you had a great time at the show last night!!! you definitely make me want to RUN to the nearest CD story and pick up a copy!
