Ever get the feeling that someone goes out of their way to piss in your cornflakes?

I know I'm being a martyr here, but there's a certain someone in my life who regularly rains on my parade.

Okay, enough with the cliches. It does suck, though. When you are bursting with good news...and can't wait to tell someone... and they act non-plussed or worse, critical. There are two people in my life, actually, who tend to act like this.

And more than frustrating, it's hurtful. Neither one of these people are aware (in the moment) that they are being shit heads, but it doesn't matter because the damage is done.

It makes me want to yell, "DUDE!! Get excited about something!! Who CARES if it's silly or dumb or inconsequential or (God forbid) NOT ABOUT YOU!!"

Argh. Some days I don't like people much... and I guess this rainy, cold, dreary day is as good as any to not like people.
